From his early years as a child, Mikes first love was animals, and his interactions with dogs came more natural to him than anything else.  He always incorporated "training" as part of his lifestyle and as a result had well-behaved and fulfilled dogs.  As he got older he realized something that was so instinctive for him didn't just happen on its own for everyone else.  In 2019 Mike and Amanda adopted a German Shepherd (Ahab) from the animal shelter.  Ahab came with a whole bushel of baggage and it was a painful and oftentimes confusing journey to get him where he needed to be.  It sparked a deep-dive into knowledge for training man's best friend and a passion in Mike to clear up confusion for the average pet-dog owner and empower them to overcome these struggles to bring harmony and balance back to their life with their dog.  Mike has worked in the pet industry most of his life and has continued to increase his skills and knowledge in training and behavior.
 
Mike specializes in customizing training to fit the individual and their dog.  Training is not one size fits all because humans and dogs are all different.  All of the training programs at EDT are geared toward incorporating steps into the everyday life of your family to develop your bond with your dog and build a true connection that makes your dog understand and desire what makes you happy.
